SOLD! A popular word spoken by auctioneer Phillip Parker at Ray White’s in room auction held on Tuesday 9th August, with 5 of the 6 properties selling under the hammer! Over 20 bidders registered to bid on the 6 properties on offer and a huge crowd watched on as the sellers enjoyed the result of successful auction campaigns.
The in-room auction phenomenon is unique to the Ray White Toowoomba and Ray White Rural Toowoomba team who have been running the event for a number of years. Each auction attracts more attention and more buyers resulting in the outcome from Tuesday night.
Soon to be seen on the World Wide Web the auction event will now welcome online live bidding – meaning buyers from all over the world can log in and bid in real-time on the properties available. This is a first for our region with Ray White Toowoomba’s initial online live auction in May seeing 2 registered online bidders successfully buy property at the in-room event at Fitzy’s Tapestry Function room.
Giving access to an international audience through initiatives such as this will see more investors circle the city with interest largely due to the positives in our economy and our ever growing infrastructure as mentioned by Mayor Paul Antonio at Ray White’s June in-room auction event.
“We are the third most diverse economy in Australia. We’re the second most productive agricultural place in Australia. We have great access to China especially with the new airport and our unemployment is at around 4% as opposed to most of the rest of Australia at around 6%. Toowoomba is a stable place to invest – of that there is no doubt.”
